1997 / 1998: My personal Soundtrack [01, quick list]

.

I started keeping a diary on October 26th, 1997. I was 14 and in 9th grade. I kept up until 2004, and every year, I made a ‘personal soundtrack’ with songs that reflected last years’ themes and storylines.

Here are 20 songs for ‘Season 1’, October 1997 to October 1998.

.

  • Del Amitri: Nothing ever happens
  • Frank Black: Man of Steel
  • Don Henley: Boys of Summer
  • Alanis Morissette: Thank you
  • REM: Everybody Hurts
  • Gus: Don’t fear the Reaper
  • Cowboy Junkies: Sweet Jane
  • Buffalo Tom: Soda Jerk
  • Green Day: Good riddance
  • Patsy Cline: Never no more
  • Roxette: June Afternoon
  • Silverchair: I miss you love
  • Jewel: Foolish Games
